Mullein and Marshmallow are both demulcents and expectorants. Demulcents coat the mucosal membranes to help sooth inflammation and irritation. Expectorants help clear out mucous and relieve congestion. 
Wild Cherry Bark has a powerful antitussive (cough suppressing) action and due to its astringent, sedative, antispasmodic, and bronchodilator actions, it dries mucus, increases expectoration, eases coughing, and opens the airways.

The kid's formula is made using a double tincture method. It is a combination of the original alcohol tincture and a concentrated infusion using RO filtered, alkalinized water and vegetable glycerine. This creates a very potent extract that has a very small alcohol content and the glycerine gives it a sweet taste to help kids get it down better.
